Once Again IMS Research Ranks OnSSI as #1 in the Americas

OnSSI Repeats as Market Leader Among VMS Suppliers in 2010 Edition

Dallas, TX (October 12, 2010) − IMS Research once again has confirmed OnSSI's standing as the top supplier of open-platform network video management software in the Americas. In the 2010 Edition of “The Americas Market For CCTV and Video Surveillance Equipment,” IMS Research identifies OnSSI as having the largest market share among video management software (VMS) companies in the Americas. This is the second year in a row that OnSSI has been recognized with this achievement.

OnSSI's Ocularis software platform was built to address the needs of the increasingly complex, multi-server installations. It puts immediate control of video detection, analysis, delivery and response literally at the operator's fingertips, with an interface that’s so intuitive, you already know how to use it. It even incorporates touchscreen functionality and map-based navigation.

The market share growth of OnSSI reflects the flexibility and functionality of Ocularis for a range of applications, including the education, government/public safety, healthcare, transportation and homeland security/federal government vertical markets. The IMS report, which provides an overall statistical view of the video surveillance marketplace in the Americas, lists OnSSI ahead of every other open-platform IP video management system provider.

“We are very proud that the 2010 edition of the IMS report continues to list us as the market leader,” said Gadi Piran, Chief Technology Officer and President of OnSSI. “This designation reflects the collaborative efforts of our solution, channel and sales partners, and confirms our continuing commitment in a very competitive market. It also demonstrates our dedication to continuing to make the necessary technology and product development investments that will keep us at the front of the pack for years to come.”

“Despite challenging economic conditions, OnSSI continued to grow strongly within its core vertical markets to maintain its VMS market leadership position in the Americas in 2009,” states IMS report author and analyst Gary Wong.
